The main aim of the course is to get us interested in electronics and engineering because the government wants more people to go in to IT and engineering and there is an estimated shortage of around 15,000 people in these jobs and these jobs are high-paying too (Source: 3 News). We were advised by the teachers for this course to get to how to use a Soldering Iron before we do the course, so we did. Mr White gave us a task to make a 3D thing out of copper so that meant that we were going to use a Soldering Iron, we were in groups of two and each group something completely different to each other, Jacob and Caleb made Harry Potter Glasses which everyone agreed was the best thing made.
